Lot 125

1809 C-2 R3 PCGS graded AU53. Glossy olive and steel with traces of frosty lighter steel brown in protected areas. The surfaces are smooth and attractive and the only notable mark is a light rim bruise at star 13. Sharply struck MDS, Manley state 2.0, with a fine die crack passing through stars 8-13. The reverse is rotated 175 degrees CW, upset nearly head-to-head. A nice half cent that comes with an impressive provenance. Our grade is VF35. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 2 finer, 1 in 58, 1 in 62 for the variety. Estimate Value $600 - UP
