Sterling Silver Trophy Cup, 1858, Made by William Keyes Vandersuce, Early California. 4" sterling silver trophy. One side is engraved: "Awarded by California State Agricultural Society"; a border of flowers and fruits surrounds the name of the winner: "Miss F.A. Sargent for Monochromatic Drawing / 1858"; one small ding over the "F." The other side holds the California seal. A floral design connects the two sides. Very attractive. 2¼ozt. Estimate $300 - 500
