Shelton, Harold, The Spectacular "Spirit of America" (1918 - 1999) Acclaimed American artist known for his oil paintings, but it was Shelton's bronzes depicting the American West that impressed. Offered is his very limited edition by The National Heritage Collectors Society now Great American Bronze Works, Inc., "Spirit of America". This is a majestic, beautiful bronze of an American eagle alighting on a gnarled branch conveying great strength and pride. This is large piece measuring 44" x 43 x 32" including the Carrera marble base. The bronze was displayed proudly in the private residence of Jackie and Gene Autry. Further, Great American Bronze Works, Inc. created the memorial bronze of Autry in front of Edison Field in Anaheim as well as the "Back In The Saddle Again" a monumental sculpture of Gene Autry and his horse,"Champion" in front of the Autry Museum of the American West in Los Angeles. An optional custom oak platform 32 x 36 x 36" for greater height is available at no additional cost except for shipping.
