Rodriguez, Alfredo "Lost and Found" (1954 -) Rodriguez was born in the Mexican town of Tepic, Nayarit, close to the Huichole Indian reservation. He began drawing as a child and developed his talent at such a young age it assisted in supporting his immediate family of nine. In 1973 he moved to the United States and in very short order became a celebrated and award winning artist with clients worldwide responding to his traditional themes. A member of the American Indian and Cowboy Artists Association, Alfredo Rodriguez established a studio in Corona, California. His rich and vivid colors depict scenes of the inhabitants of the American West: Indians, Mountain Men, Cowboys, nestled in the mountains, deserts, and Indian villages.
Offered here is a large fantastic example, oil on canvas, of Rodriguez's talent entitled "Lost and Found" of a small Navajo Indian child finding her lost kitten with an elder woman, under the shade of an umbrella, looking pleased and relieved. The colors and detail in this, one of his larger works, is breathtaking, the landscapes almost photo real. Truly a magnificent example of Rodriguez's work. Painting measures 40 x 30" custom framed in a heavy, carved, antiqued wood frame to 50 x 40".
Outside shipping on this painting due to size to which we can offer two accomplished and reasonable shipping companies. Estimate $4,000 - UP
