Sadaharu Oh, Rare Signed Baseball Field Jacket from Daiei Hawks! (1940-) Legendary Japanese-Chinese baseball player and later manager. He played 22 seasons for the Yomiuri Giants in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) from 1959 to 1980. Oh holds the world lifetime home run record having hit 868 home runs during his professional career. In 1977, Sadaharu Oh became the first recipient of the People's Honor Award. He was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994. He then moved to managing teams including Fukuoka Daiei Hawks (1995–2008).
