1896-S. PCGS graded MS-64. CAC. PQ. A nice well struck white coin that is scarce this well preserved and on the curp of a Gem grade. Full blazing luster and excellent surface quality for the grade. Despite a generous mintage of 5 million pieces for this year from San Francisco, for some reason not many of these survived in mint state. This is borne out in the Population Report, where fewer than 100 gems or finer have been certified by PCGS.
