Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 100

Lot 1380

1907. High relief, Roman numerals, wire rim. PCGS graded MS-64. CAC. PQ. A very nice example, very close to MS-65 with strong luster and well preserved surfaces. A towering example of this fabled coin, with Liberty appearing to stride right off the center into thin air, while the eagle appears to fly high above the distant fields. The medallic mastery of this design stands tall above nearly all others in the history of our mints engravers, and this design is widely regarded as our most beautiful coin ever struck. If you have been seeking an example of this famed coin, then here is one to strongly consider. Housed in an Old Green Holder. Only 11,250 struck (PCGS # 9135) Estimate Value $25,000 - UP
