1854-C. NGC graded AU-55. The obverse is pleasing with good separation on Liberty's curls and minimal signs of circulation. The reverse is similar with a touch of wear on the high points of the arrow feathers, wing tips and upper olive leaves in the branch. The surfaces show minimal handling marks from commerce. Scarce in all grades of AU and finer, and ever popular for the Charlotte mintmark. Untoned with some luster evident. Only 39,283 struck. Pop 14; 22 finer at NGC.
