1840-C. PCGS graded AU-53. The strike is reasonably sharp on the obverse where just a bit of softness is noted on Liberty's lovelock curl over her neck. The reverse shows minor softness on the eagle's neck feathers, but the feathers are well defined on most of the wing. The usual die crack is present through the I of AMERICA to the top two arrow tips. Lovely golden toning on both sides. Only 18,992 struck. Pop 12; 28 finer at PCGS.
