1827 Capped Bust Dime. . R-12. NGC graded MS-65. Deep blue and rose toning on both sides, with reflective fields. The surfaces are splendid and show few signs of handling or marks. The strike is full on all but a few of the stars, most of Liberty's curls and the eagle's feathers are sharp. Although this is a common variety, this is probably one of the very finest known of the variety, and of the date. Turning to the NGC Population Report, we note just 2 graded higher, with only 21 graded this high as MS-65 for the date.
