Ionia. Miletos(?), Uncertain Mint, 7th-6th century BC. Melisian Standard Electrum 1/12 Stater (1.05. A very good example for this material. Forepart of lion right, with knobby "wart" on nose. Reverse: Cross with pellets in cruciform incuse. Device unusually well centered, with very legible lion head; reverse image somewhat obscured due to die deterioration. Cf. Rosen 275 (lion head left). About Very Fine.
