Thessaly. Larissa, c. 400-320 BC. Lot of Less Common Type AR's. One rare reverse drachm here; and the obol attractive and scarce. Three Drachms include: Nude youth restraining bull left / Free horse right (SNG Cop. 110); Head of Larissa facing slightly left / Armed horseman galloping right (cf. SNG Cop. 134 [hemiobol]); and, attractive style Head of Larissa facing slightly left / Mare and foal (SNG Cop. 124). Last, a scarce Obol: attractive style Head of Larissa facing slightly left / Horse with lowered head right (SNG Cop. 135). Lot of 4 coins. Some with granular or porous metal. Most cleaned. Coins range from Fine to Very Fine plus.
