Bruttium. Croton, c. 320-300 BC. AR Half Nomos (2.7 g). Choice example of scarce type. Head of the youthful river god, Aisaros, right. Reverse: Owl standing right, head frontal, ear of barley below right. SNG ANS 422. Flan a little oblong, but sharp strike with handsome devices. Pleasing toning - deep steel gray, with russet and hints of blue. Superb Extremely Fine.
