Celtic Central Europe & Asia Minor. 140 BC. Gallic & Bohemian Celts, c. 2nd century BC. Lot of Three Gold Fractionals. From Gaul: Remi, Base, or plated gold Quarter (1.3 g), "Three Phalli" type: Three curved segments / Horse left, crescent below; De La Tour 8030 var. From Bohemia, the Boii, Eighth and Twentyfourth Staters, "Athena Alkis" types: Single or twin swellings, resembling shields / Athena Alkis left, brandishing shield and spear; Lanz Coll. 36ff; Paulsen, pl. VII, 121ff. and 140ff. Usual crude strikes, but interesting and worth examination. The smallest coin in the purest gold. Very Good to Fine; the smallest, almost Mint State in sharpness but worn reverse die.
