1870. Pattern Quarter Dollar, Judd-879. Standard Silver. Copper, plain edge. Rarity-6. NGC graded Proof 66. Brown. Clearly the Finest Known of this issue as neither PCGS nor NGC has graded any J-879s above Proof 65 aside from this coin. Deeply toned with dark chocolate fields that show some hints of rose on the devices. Pristine surfaces, without a mark to be found, and very sharply, almost painfully, well struck. Worthy of the finest Pattern collection.
