1869 Pattern Quarter. Judd 733, Silver. NGC graded Proof 66. Part of the popular Standard Silver series issued to replace the Franctional Currency then in use. These designs were made by William Barber and J. B. Longacre and were slightly smaller in size and lighter in weight than the regular United States coins of equal denomination. A stunning gem example with deep natural violet iridescent toning on both sides. Population of only one and none higher.
