Seated Liberty Dollar. 1873. Brilliant Proof 60 Plus. A late in the year struck proof as the weakness of strike is due to die wear. The fully reflective surfaces contain some light hairlines and we note a few minute contact marks about the rims. All, is overlaid with cloudy light violet toning. Only 600 proofs were struck with an unknown quantity melted after July 10, 1873.
