Seated Liberty Dollar. 1842. AU-50. A most unusual offering which includes a 1963 large silver medal dedicated to Christian Gobrecht by T. Johnson featuring Gobrecht's seated Liberty obverse, with stars and other design elements, the reverse with a flying eagle amid stars as seen on the 1838 Pattern Silver Dollars. The silver medal weighs several ounces. The 1842 coin is very choice, and both are mounted in a custom Capital Plastics holder.
