1789. Mott Token. Thick planchet, plain edge. PCGS graded AU-50. Struck slightly off-center towards 10 o'clock on the obverse. Choice medium brown in color on both sides. One hidden scratch is noted under the left wing of the eagle on the reverse. A late die state with a lump on the upper left of the clock on the obverse. Scarce and desirable. Thought to have been created around 1839 as a commemorative for the founding of the Mott Company fifty years earlier.
