Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin Signed Lecture Admission Ticket March 15, 1968 & Commemorative Stamps & Covers. Yuri Gagarin (1934-1968) Russian Soviet pilot and cosmonaut and the first man in space. Offered is an autographed admission ticket for a lecture of some type where he was a guest as well as a Russian composer. The date of the event was March 15, 1968. On March 27, 1968, Gagarin and another pilot were killed while on a routine training flight from Chkalovsky Air Base. Ticket/invitation is originally folded in half and measures 3 x 10". Signature in blue ink. Also included in this collection are commemorative stamps and covers of space missions from all over the globe including Russia all boasting impressive designs.
