Flown, Used Shuttle Endeavour Wing Structure Insulator, 8th Shuttle-Russian Space Station Mir Docking Mission. Space shuttle orbiter insulator of Endeavour/OV-105 that last flew on Mission STS-89 (1/22 - 1/31/98). This particular insulator was probably part of Shuttle Endeavor singe the oribiter's first flight in 1992 until after the part's removal in Sept. 1998 after 12 space flights. During the 9-day mission, STS-89 and crew transported more than 8000 pounds of scientific equipment, logistical hardware and water from Endeavour to the Mir space station. After 139 orbits around the Earth, Endeavour had logged more than 3.6 million stature miles in space. Exhibits much usage, no part number is visible, measures 17 x 11 x 5" and comes with COA.
