Rockets, Black & White Publicity Photos Collection of Author/Historian of Rocketry. Lot of 85+ B&W photos plus 45, 3½ x 5" photos, plus several dozen photos in other sizes from involving early propulsion and rocketry from the 30s to the 50s, as well as personal photos of Dr. Kurt Magnus from the USSR (ca. early 1950s, the celebrated expert on gyroscopy) from acclaimed authors Ordway and Sharpe. Many of the more important photos have description on the backs. Both used many of these as illustrations in their various books and articles. This is definitely a lot for a photo archivist rather than just a space buff. The behind-the-scenes shots are fascinating. The usual mixed condition and sizes should not be a deterrent to acquiring this lot. Estimate Value $200 - 300
