Lot 425

Rare First Period Worcester Teapots, Milk Jug & Bowl in Chinoisiere Patterns. 18th Century Worcester (Dr. Wall design team) in a variety of rare Chinoiserie patterns. 3 teapots each about 5½ x 5 x 5". The first teapot is an exceptionally rare pattern of a Chinese family and interior and is absolutely charming with wonderful details and in superior condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, unmarked and an absolute find. PLEASE NOTE THE LID, WHILE VERY SIMILAR IN TRIM DESIGN WE WERE TOLD IS NOT THE EXACT MATCH. The second teapot in only blues and oranges is another rare design with cross hatch crescent mark. We detect some minor flea bites at base, floral knob on lid professionally repaired and tiny glaze fissure inside tip of spout. Third teapot boasts another serene scene of a Chinese family, again an evidently very scarce pattern, unmarked. Some fading/wear to design and knob on lid missing. Complimenting the teapots is a bowl decorated with a serene and humble Chinese garden 3 x 6¼ x 6¼", very rare and in superior condition with only some wear to the floral art inside bottom of bowl, boasting no chips, cracks or repairs. Finally a milk jug in yet another very scarce pattern, slight repair to spout and handle. In spite of the minor condition issues, again all pieces quite rare. Estimate Value $400 - 600
From A Prominent Pennsylvania Estate.
