An Impressive Collection of over 200 Vintage Post Cards of US Bridges and Dams 1900s -1960s. Post card collectors would be hard pressed to find as nicely selected and archived vintage post card collection of historic bridges, dams, tunnels and even a few skyscrapers of the US. We note a wonderful post card of the Brooklyn Bridge from 1905 a Washington Bridge from 1905 a Des Moines River Bridge card from 1906 just to name a few the earliest pieces. But what impresses is the number of bridges represented from virtually every state in the nation. Also included are nine photo panoramaic post cards all from the St. John's Bridge in Portland which are very impressive. Dams include 12 of Hoover from the 50s and 60s, three of Shasta and several other famous dams. Finally some New York skyscrapers including a souvenir folder from the 1931 with 17 buildings and the Statue of Liberty. Overall in very good to fine condition, many of the postcards stamped and inscribed but again, nice condition. Comes in three ringed notebook with over 40 pages of sectioned folios Certainly viewing in person is recommended to fully appreciate. Estimate Value $300 - 400
