Treasure Trove of Americana Spanning 100 Years: 10 Folios of Collectible Ephemera. A mammoth collection of Americana spanning the late 19th Century through the 20th Century of vintage original commemorations, invitations, dedications, celebrations, US Postal commemorative stamps and covers and more. The collection has particular focus on California (especially San Francisco) as well as Chicago, Philadelphia and St. Louis and several of America's Universities. We note 1899 invitation to laying the Corner-Stone Of the US Government Building in Chicago, a nice collection of early bank checks and stocks from major cities from the 1870s to early 1900s, 1944 dedication brochure for "Ships For Victory" in Superior, Wisconsin featuring the Dionne Quintuplets, an extensive collection of covers and commemoration of "Legends of the West" postal series, numerous original invitations in honor of notables and events including Clarence Darrow, Mayoral events from the 1860s -1900s, souvenir wood piece from Independence Hall issued in 1954, Postal covers and stamps celebrating, Pacific Coast and Canadian Indians, The Oregon Trail, Lewis and Clark Bicentennial, ephemera involving the Nation such as vintage Naturalization Papers, Polio Vaccine Program 1950s, some Disneyana, large number of California related celebratory invitations and events including the original invitation and program for the dedication of the landmark Los Angeles City Hall from 1928 as well as an original dedication brochure of the Santa Barbara Courthouse and many other historic places. Finally there is a nice collection of ephemera from the turn of the early to mid-century of American universities. This collection most certainly should be seen to be appreciated.
