1827 N-6 R3 PCGS graded MS64 Brown. Lustrous medium olive and light bluish steel with a few hints of very faded mint color visible on both sides. Mint frost covers this cent and the eye appeal is excellent. The toning in the field before the portrait is delicately mottled, a tiny diagonal nick is located under the lower left point of star 7, and there is a light nick on the rim over the second S in STATES. Otherwise this cent is choice. MDS. The repunching on the 2 remains clear and the die line off the right end of the line under CENT is sharp. Graded MS63 and CC#2 in the Noyes census, his photo #21519. Bland says MS63 and CC#2 in his census. Our grade is MS62. The attribution and Naftzger-Ahumada provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 2 finer in 65 for the variety. PCGS #36853. Estimate Value $4,000 - UP
