Lot 79

1826 N-7 R1 PCGS graded MS65 Brown. Lustrous medium brown and steel with 5-10% of the reverse showing slightly mellowed mint color. Subtle overtones of light bluish steel cover the fields and this cent offers excellent eye appeal. The only notable mark is a small diagonal nick left of the bottom of the ear lobe. The reverse is choice. MDS with rotated die clashmarks on the reverse. The dies are uncracked and show no crumbling in the dentils. A very nice example of a neat die state. Our grade is MS60. The attribution and Ahumada provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 2 finer in 66 for the variety. PCGS #36829. Estimate Value $2,500 - UP
Ex Bowers & Merena 9/22/1997:336-Manuel Ahumada Collection (lot ticket included).
