1826 N-4 R2 PCGS graded MS64 Brown, CAC Approved. Beautiful lustrous golden tan and steel brown with 5% of the obverse and 20% of the reverse covered with faded mint color. No spots or stains, only light contact marks. The notable ones are a small vertical nick midway between star 1 and the chin and a very thin diagonal nick or pin scratch on the lower half of the neck. MDS with fine die flowlines in the fields. The repunching on the E's in ONE CENT remains sharp and the repunching on the left top of the U in UNITED is dull but visible. Graded MS63 and CC#2 in the Noyes census his photo #21733. Bland says MS60+. Our grade is MS60+, close to MS62. Comes with a great provenance. The attribution and Helfenstein-Ahumada provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; the finest BN of the variety at both services. PCGS #36820. Estimate Value $2,500 - UP
