Lot 298

1817 N-6 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Red & Brown. Frosty tan and light steel brown with bright mint color showing on at least 10% of the obverse and traces of red remaining visible on the reverse. The only notable marks are some barely visible spots of slightly darker brown toning scattered over the obverse, mostly in the field before the portrait. Sharply struck EDS. The dentils are crisp around both sides and the repunching on star 13 is clear. Our grade is MS62. The attribution and Heard provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; the only example of the variety graded MS RB at both services. PCGS #36566. Estimate Value $1,000 - UP
