French Revolutionary Bilingual Broadside. One page, 13 x 15½", in French and German, dated "22. Pluvoise l'an 3me de la République Française" in accordance with the French Revolutionary calendar (February 17, 1795). Under the French national motto, "Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité", this announcement, issued by Pierre Gillet, the Commissioner of Public Safety charged with military supplies, makes provisions for the Army of Sambre-et-Meuse, perhaps the most celebrated army of the French Revolution. With just some minor discoloration along the margins, tipping at the corners, and a vertical crease at the center, it is in very good to fine condition. Estimated Value $200 - 300
