Lot 991

1874-CC Liberty Seated 50C. Arrows NGC MS62. NGC graded MS-62+. Well struck and mostly untoned. This is the variety with the railroad track like die damage in the legend in STATES, which adds to the popularity with collectors. Satiny silver throughout with a solid strike and downright rare this well preserved. Only a half dozen have been seen technically finer by NGC of the 1874-CC half dollar, the finest is MS-64 in their Census. One of the tougher issues to find nice in the Liberty Seated half dollar series, and a coin like this always has strong demand when it is offered. Estimated Value $18,000 - 19,000
