1909-S, S Over Horizontal S. PCGS graded MS-66 Red. Lovely rich golden toning. The S over horizantal S mintmark is best seen with a strong loupe, where an additional sideways serif appears in the field just right of the center of the broad curve of the primary S. Not that many exist in high grade, and this is one of finer pieces known with full Mint Red and outstanding quality surfaces. A prize for the Lincoln cent specialist who appreciates high end coins Pop 67; 6 finer in 66+ (PCGS # 92434) .
