1839 N-8 R1 Head of 1840 NGC graded MS64 Brown. Frosty medium brown. Satiny mint luster covers both sides and the eye appeal is excellent. There are a few small puffs of darker steel brown toning on the obverse, including one that covers the B in LIBERTY. The only other mark is a shallow planchet flake in the dentils just above star 3, as struck. E-MDS. Our grade is MS60. The attribution is noted on the NGC label.
