1795 C-1 R2 Lettered Edge VF25. Ten points sharper but there are some light scratches at the dentil tips on the obverse plus a planchet lamination in the field left of the lower curls (as struck). The only other marks are an errant planchet cutter impression in the dentils under the date and in the opposing dentils over TES (also as struck). Otherwise the surfaces are smooth and the toning is a very attractive medium brown and light chocolate with a puff of reddish brown in the field off the chin. Sharply struck MDS, Manley state 2.0 early. The swelling at AME is faint. Removed from a PCGS slab graded VF35, Mint Error, Laminated Plan Obv (label #E1009.35/21360963).
