Officers of the 71st New York Infantry by Matthew Brady. Two albumen photos from Brady's "Incidents of the War," 10 x 14½ in., Washington Navy Yard, c. 1861. Good tone and contrast, slight loss to edges, some age wear. Matted and framed to an overall size of 31 x 23 in. Very good condition. The 71st was a popular regiment with numerous visits from politicians, dignitaries, and Lincoln himself on several occasions.
