London, Jack. Document signed, 1 page, 11 x 8½ in. (Hollywood, Ca.), December 11, 1915. A contract (dark carbon retained copy) between London and Bosworth, Incorporated, mutually agreeing to cancel their agreement of July 26, 1911, "whereby the said JACK LONDON gave to BOSWORTH, INCORPORATED the exclusive right to produce the literary works of the said JACK LONDON in motion pictures. One of the conditions of ther termination of this agreement is that on all productions already made by the said BOSWORTH, INCORPORATED, the agreement shall remain in full force and effect as to the payments of royalties and all other terms; but the said JACK LONDON is hereby released from any and all obligation in respect to his productions and his rights which have not been made under said agreement." Signed by London and a studio executive. Embossed seal of BOSWORTH is at lower left. Stamp of "Famous Players - Lasky Corporation / Legal Dept." is at upper left. Less than a year later, London would be dead (Nov. 22, 1916). A rare document linking London to Hollywood.
