Lot 480

1823 N-2 R2. PCGS graded VF-30. Frosty steel brown and medium chocolate. An attractive cent with smooth surfaces and no significant marks. A few tiny nicks over the right point of star 13 and a thin diagonal nick on the front edge of the neck are good identifying marks, but they are not at all distracting. Nicely struck E-MDS with a strong rim cud break from star 4 to star 5 and another above star 6. A very acceptable example of a date that is difficult to find in higher grades. Our grade is VF20+, close to VF25. The attribution is shown on the PCGS label (PCGS # 36757) .
Estimated Value $1,000-UP.

Realized $1,880
