1916 McKinley Dollar. PCGS graded MS-67. This smooth-looking Superb Gem is draped in billowy mint luster and captivating rose-gold color with mint-green accents at the outer areas. Impressive technical quality and eye appeal for both the type as a whole and the individual issue. The sale of the McKinley dollars aided in paying for a memorial building at Niles, Ohio, the fallen president's birthplace. The obverse shows a profile of McKinley and was designed by Charles E. Barber; the reverse, with the memorial building was designed by George T. Morgan. Pop 86; 1 finer in 67+ (PCGS # 7454) .
