Lot 125

1804 C-7 R4 Spiked Chin G6. A few points sharper but recolored a mostly glossy dark steel and chocolate brown. Traces of artificial mint color remain visible in protected areas on the obverse. The surfaces are reasonably smooth but there is microscopic granularity in protected areas. No verdigris or marks. Extremely rare LDS, Manley state 7.2, with a strong cud break at OF AMERI plus a die crack through the top of TES in STATES where another cud is forming. The date and LIB are weakly struck but everything else is strong for the grade.
