Empire. Spring and Autumn (Eastern Zhou Dynasty). "Reclinate Shoulder Curved Feet Empty Hilt Spade Money", 6th to 4th Ce. Empire. Spring and Autumn (Eastern Zhou Dynasty). "Reclinate Shoulder Curved Feet Empty Hilt Spade Money", 6th to 4th Century BC. Chinese character "Wu" (not the same "Wu" as seen on the flat shoulder type) probably refering to the mint in Wu-An. This is a relatively common variety among the seven varieties known for this reclinate shoulder type spade money. Choice extremely fine, the character is extraordinarily clear and the overall details of the coin is outstanding, the green patina on this coin is pleasingly vivid, which adds the eye appeal, and the edges are still very sharp. These types were issued slightly later than the flat shoulder types and were minted also for circulation around the suburbs of the capital and adjoining kingdoms.
Estimated Value $1,200-UP.
