Wright, Frank Lloyd and Carl Sandburg. Photo signed by Wright (1867-1959), the renowned American architect, and by Sandberg (1878-1967), the renowned American poet, 7 1/2 x 9". On verso the date "January 1958" is penned in blue ink, as well as the place each autograph was obtained: Sandburg's in Flat Rock, North Carolina and Wright's in Scottsdale, Arizona. Also on verso, a penciled number and "Cr: Art Siegel" as well as the stamp of Woodbury County Savings Bank in Sioux City, Iowa, which is probably where the photo was taken. Sandberg, at right, has his arm around Wright's shoulder. Both men signed in the lower border. A sticky substance from earlier tape affects the lower portion of the image but not the signatures of the two American giants.
