1967, Apollo Program flammability test teflon lacing & kapton coated wire. Following the Apollo 1 fire on 1.27.67, a series of flammability tests were conducted in the CM boiler-plate chambers. As a result of these tests, this lacing and wire were incorporated in Apollo CM & LM spacecraft. The two samples (about 6" long) are from the original batch, some of which was used for testing, are affixed to COA by the lacing.
