July 8, 1960 typed letter on von Braun's Huntsville Alabama stationery to General Lemnitzer, Chief of Staff of the Army, thanking him for his assistance while Marshall Space Craft Center was under US Army control. Typed copy of von Braun's remarks on the day of transference of control to NASA, July 1, 1960. Remarks were included with von Braun's letter. Original mailing envelope present along with letter from Lemnitzer to von Braun that inspired von Braun's letter. Bold signature. Significant piece of Marshall Space Craft Center history.
