Keichousaurus Skeleton. Keichousaurus hui was the 240 million year old ancestor from Guizhou Province, China of the famous long necked sea reptiles Plesiosaurus which was made famous as being the mysterious Loch Ness monster. Keichousaurus also lived in the ocean and had a long, flexible neck, tiny sharp teeth, webbed feet and a tail as long as its neck. This 8 inch long excellent 3-D fossil (an adult) has well defined black bones and an excellent skull preserved with several of the small pointed teeth and is well positioned on a 8.5 x 4.5 inch dark grey slate matrix. All of the bones present are original and of top quality with all four legs present but the some of the back two legs are preserved under the body and some of the toe bones and claws are disarticulated or missing. Only the end of the tail is missing.
