Alexandrian Terracotta Harpokrates, 2nd- 1st century BC. A small hollow terracotta figurine of the young god, Harpocrates. Harpocrates was a Greek adaptation of the god Horus, as a child. He is depicted clearly as a child with his finger in his mouth; this also indicates that he is the god Harpocrates. He wears a double crown and he holds a round pot. Some ancient damage to the stomach area of figure. Mounded on custom stand. Height: 7 ¾"; Length: 3 ¾"; Width: 2".
