Lot 370
1843 N-12 R1 Petite Head VF30. Close to VF35 in sharpness but this cent was lightly cleaned and nicely retoned long ago. Glossy light olive blending to darker olive brown in protected areas. Only trivial contact marks, none notable. Extremely rare LDS, die state e, with a clearly defined rim cud break from the U to below the ribbon end. The earlier rim cud over NIT is faint, only the end over the N visible.
