1897 Barber Half Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 64. Here is one for the lover of toned coins, the fields have deep gray to green colors on both sides, evenly matched, and the devices are a lighter steel gray. Boldly struck and more appealing than one would expect, even for this grade. Critical examination notes only the faintest hairlines in the fields, which fail to detract.
