1937-D Buffalo Nickel. 3 legged. AU-58. This one is nearly mint state, with a touch of wear on the bison's beefy side. A rare coin in high grade, most of these circulated for years before the variety was recognized, so survival of high examples was purely by chance. Diagnostic stream of die dots extending from the bison's hindquarters toward the missing leg as seen on all examples. We note a bit of multicolored hues on the reverse, when held under a light.
