Lot 1538

1949. PCGS graded MS-66+ Full Bell Lines. A glittering creamy-white gem. Silver satin luster on a well presented and fully struck example. Elusive as a Gem and better, to say the least. A very pleasing example of this 1949-S Key Date. So ends the discussion of the luster. Now on to the detail. This piece is not just close to, but completely and sharply struck, with terrific detail at the portrait and on the high points of the bell. This is an example which proves once and for all the existence of an all-seeing, benevolent Providence, since the rigid grading standards set up by PCGS were obviously in place when this coin received the 66 grade! A candidate for "Finest Known"! Pop 2; none finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 86653) Estimated Value $3,000-UP

Ex #1 Ranked PCGS Registry Napier Set.
