1829, 9 over 7. NGC graded MS-61. A hint of light golden tone. Very attractive. There is a sharp overdate on the 1829, 9 over 7 half dollar. In this series, having an overdate where the two numerals are anything but one year apart is rare. Indeed, there are only two instances: 1817/3 and 1829/7. They are typically the result of leftover dies that the Mint resurrected and repunched with the current year, at a much later time. A lustrous Mint State example. Pop 5; 44 finer.
